Beyond the Rideau Canal lies Ottawa's east end. Popular streets, such as Ogilve, not only have plenty of chain and local restaurants but are a convenient way onto the Parkway. Ottawa east allows for an easy commute to both Gatineau and downtown Ottawa, making it a prime location for those working or studying in either area. Students and professionals alike fit into this neighbourhood well as there is easy access to both universities as well as the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and the Monfort Hospital.
